Use the video prompt box

The video prompt box works much like image generation, but adds controls for start and end frames, duration, and video-specific output settings.

Set start and end frames

You can choose frames in four main ways:
  • Pick directly from the canvas.
  • Choose from the saved library.
  • Upload from your device.
  • Pick a frame from an existing shot.
Use start and end frames when you need stronger continuity between shots, camera moves, or transitions.

Check output settings before generating

Before you run a generation, review:
  • Model
  • Resolution
  • Aspect ratio
  • Duration
  • Number of outputs
  • Credit cost
Video settings can increase cost quickly. Check the generate button tooltip before you run multiple outputs.

Use frame selection tools carefully

The original workflow includes several ways to assign frames:
  • Use the prompt box frame picker menu
  • Hover over a canvas image and use the Start or End controls
  • Use the target icon on an image and choose a start or end frame action
Video generation connects to several adjacent workflows: Go to Scene timeline to place video takes into shots and manage them over time.
