Why groups matter

Groups are a fast way to organize the infinite canvas. They help you keep related ideas together and make it easier to decide where new generations should appear.

You can create a group by:

Generate into a selected group

When a group exists, you can choose to generate into it by clicking the target icon in the upper right corner of the group.
Group Target
This will activate the group selector in the prompt box. You can then use this menu to choose to generate into any group on the canvas. New generations will then appear inside that group until you deactivate it or change the target.
Group Prompt Box
Assets generated into a group will generate in a single Column, with each generation batch as a new row within that column. If you want to condense your assets in group into a grid you can click the Auto-Arrange option. You can also edit the settings of a group and change its name by clicking the Group Menu. Copy link allows you to share a link with a team member that takes them directly to that group on the canvas. Collapse groups by clicking the carrot in the upper left corner.

When to use groups

Use groups when you want to:

  • Prevent the canvas from becoming visually chaotic
Create groups before large prompt runs. They are most effective when they shape the workflow early instead of acting as cleanup after the canvas is already crowded.
