Click Play in the top bar (beside Share), or press ⇧P, to open the Player: a floating window that plays the active sequence’s shots back to back. Drag it anywhere, resize it from its edges (hold Option to resize from the center), or maximize it from its header. The chevron beside Play (Play options) has Play in new tab (⌘⇧P) for a full-window version. You can also right-click a sequence or shot in the timeline and choose Play to start the Player right there.

Playback

  • Previous / Next shot: ← and →. Hold Shift to jump a whole sequence instead.
  • Trim video: open the trim handles on the current video take without leaving playback.
  • Edit duration (images): set how long a still holds. Batch image duration in the More menu sets one duration for every image in the sequence at once.
  • Volume, scrubber, and play/pause live in the footer.

Act on what you’re watching

The Take actions menu mirrors the canvas toolbar for the current take: Extract frame (Current, Start, End, or All frames), Trim, Crop, Download, Copy image, Copy prompt, Prompt info, assign it via Selected for, and run quick actions. The More menu adds Find on canvas (jump to this take on its canvas), Copy link, Details, and Play in new tab.
Spot a weak take mid-playback? Pick a comparison without stopping: the Player supports Click to pick and compare to weigh the current take against another image side by side.
