Save the right kind of image
The original tutorial recommends saving character sheets and other clear images of a single character, ideally on a blank or white background. Background elements in a character image can influence later outputs.
Ways to save a character
You can save a character by:
- Right-clicking an image on the canvas and choosing Add to → Character
- Using the image three-dot menu and choosing Add to → Character
- Creating a new character from the Characters sidebar
Add to a new or existing character
When you add to Character, Preview lets you:
- Assign the image to an existing character
- Create a new character with a name and description
- Upload additional source images into that character entry
Multi-angle source images usually produce more consistent character results than a single narrow view.
